The Wimberley Valley Big Band lost a beloved friend and extremely talented musician in 2023:
John Logan. John battled pancreatic cancer for nearly a year before he succumbed to this
dread disease.

John Logan

To honor our friend and fellow band member, the Wimberley Valley Big Band is dedicating
100% of the donations to the WVBB from our concert-dance on April 26 at the Wimberley Valley
Winery to MD Anderson’s Cancer Center, specifically for pancreatic cancer treatment and
research.
We invite you to participate with us to make a difference in ending pancreatic cancer by
donating directly to the M D Anderson Cancer Center via the link provided below.
The event on April 26 will feature a special guest appearance and performance by John Logan‘s
daughter, well-known jazz singer, and trombonist, Aubrey Logan. Aubrey‘s talents and abilities
are well known across the United States and internationally, and she will sing and play with us
for a couple of tunes, one of which she wrote herself.
Please join us in making pancreatic cancer disappear from the human race and honor our
brother-in-music John Logan.
Please join us April 26 at the Wimberley Valley Winery, Lone Man Mountain Rd., Wimberley, TX, to enjoy the Wimberley Valley Big Band’s unique mixture of jazz and classic big band music in
this beautiful Hill Country setting AND make a difference in ending the scourge of pancreatic
cancer.
